THE GOOD
Another Mets win!!! Don't look now folks, but that makes 3 in a row!!!
The first 5 hitters in the order went a combined 11-21, which always helps in racking up those runs...
The bullpen was stellar yet again.. 3 1/3 innings, allowing just 2 hits, no walks, no runs, and 4 Ks...
Schoeneweis continues to be brilliant this year... What an amazing turnaround from a season ago!!!
David Wright comes through again.... Remembering one of my favorite cartoons as a kid... When there's trouble, CALL DW!!!
Jose Reyes with a 14-game hitting streak now... Has raised his average to .282 his OBP up to .339...
Castillo continuing to hit, and with some power lately too...
And, how about Shirley, huh??? Delgado with a couple of hits and an incredible defensive play to go with it!!!
THE BAD
THE BAD
My cable system sucks noodles, and I wasn't able to actually watch the game last night!!!
Vargas was mediocre... Allowing the 4 runs in 5 2/3 innings, which isn't very good, but as long as we're putting up 8 a game and the bullpen keeps rockin', we can live with that...
THE ORANGE JACKET
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YEAH!!!!

Oh, maaaaaaaaaaan, ding dong, I am on a cloud today! Amazing how easily I can be pleased...lol.
But more than just the three wins (in a row, mindya :)), I am more pleased with the way the team is playing, relating to each other, and the apparent shift in focus and attitude.
And DELGADO ACTUALLY GOT DIRT ON HIS UNIFORM. Praise the Lord! lol
Yup, that's 3 straight well played games, and it's amazing how good Willie can look when the guys get hits, the pitchers get outs, and we score more runs than the other team!!!
Not Willie, ding dong... BILL R. It's Bill R. & The Orange Jacket. Those are the keys. No more Willie Randolph. Bill R. is now the manager. Don't you read this here blog????? LOL
Sorry, I suck!!!
Thanks for fixing the formatting there too...
GO BILL R.!!!
Hey, can we start calling Carlos Delgado "Chucky D"???
Chucky D... I FUCKING LOVE IT! Bill R. and Chucky D. LOOOOOOVE IT!!!!! The Chuckster. Chucky D. Chucky the D. The D'ster. Chucky D. lol
The only thing I couldn't fix was getting THE BAD over to the left hand side... pass the dutchie on de left hand side, mon...lol
Definitely a good game - did you catch Bill "all smiles" R. at the post game interview? Bill R. is the man!
Bill R. doesn't even resemble Willie Randolph. Bill R. smiles. Bill R. jokes with reporters. Bill R. got the chillin' for what's illin'. LOL
Bill R. & Chucky D for Pres/VP, lol! Force 'em to live with each other, I say. Chucky D, the way I see it, has only one choice -- to go with the Bill R. flow. Chucky D has publicly stated he wishes to keep playing this here game of baseball, and if that's the case, he had better be down Bill R. :)
The New Mets:
1B - Chucky D
2B - Louie the Gimp
SS - Speedy Jose
3B - Pretty Boy Wright
LF - Ole' Moses
CF - Carlos the Mole
RF - The trainwreck
C - Shrek (only because I like it better than anything I can think of for Schneider)
SP - Johan the Smooth
SP - Remember the Maine (Okay, I not that one's not original)
SP - Ollie "The Wild Thing" P
CL - Redneck Bill
And, of course, the manager, Bill R.!!!
I like them there "new Mets," ding dong.
And in honor of the retro design of Citifield, let's bring back some of the old Mets kitsch, like playing Meet the Mets at Shea, the Curly Shuffle, which I understand they played last night, having the plane races (do they still do that?), getting all corny, playing videos of the players and the championship seasons of 1969 and 1986, and basically getting all positive and nostalgic and creating a mood in the ballpark?
How about a roll back the prices night on concessions, too?
And a CHUCKY D NIGHT!
Yes...
We can even have a "Toss the Firecracker in the Parking Lot" night
The Wild and Crazy Bullpen Adventures of David Cone
A Bobby Bonilla Tour of the Bronx!!!
Fun with Peanut Butter jars night!!!
And, my favorite "Laundry with Saberhagen"...
Get locked up with Doc night
Smokin' jacket night with Tony Tarasco
Get your sulk on night with CHUCKY D!!!!!!!

"my husband." :-)
Ain't gonna do ya a whole lotta good if you only call him that in private!!! :-)
Fat lot YOU know, ding dong. Sometimes fantasy or imaginging is eminently preferable to reality... especially when it comes to fantasizing about men. Although in this case, there is a great upside (cash $$$$) to the reality rather than the fantasy, lol.
I've, uh, fantasized about lots of Mets in my lifetime. Before you ask, among them are Wayne Garrett (believe it or not), Jim Fregosi (double believe it or not), Keith Hernandez (about whom I still get the heebie jeebies, lol), and I guess that's about it. I'm now too old to fantasize about any ballplayer worth fantasizing about... except maybe Jeff Conine, who is a real MAN *hunk.* lol
Okay, I'm going to be perfectly honest here...
I have NEVER fantasized about any of the players on the Mets!!!
Jose Lima's wife, on the other hand....
How about Anna Benson, ding dong? Come on, let's be honest, now...lol.
UGH...
Honestly, wouldn't touch that ugly skank with a 10 foot pole!!!
