THE GOOD, THE Bad, The Not-So-UGLY...

THE GOOD

THE METSIES WIN!!!

Johan pitched a solid game, other than probably losing a little focus on one bad pitch to Tim Redding...

ALL ABOARD THE B-TRAIN.... Or, is that Bel-TRON (God, I HATE ESPN!!!)...

Heck, even Delsucko managed to hit the ball solidly a couple of times last night..

Church continues to rake, and makes the Milledge trade look less and less silly...

Speaking of Milledge and silly, that's what Johan and Wags made him look like a few times last night...

DIRTY SANCHEZ!!! Great outing for him, and hopefully we'll be seeing more and more of him (and less and less of Droopy) in the late innings...

Wagner has still not allowed a single hit against him all year...

PRINCE FIELDER!!! Beat them Phoolies!!!

Braves lose again!

And, the BEST of all, was that I was able to watch the postgame show last night, and there was no YANKENSTEIN on it!!!!

THE BAD

Reyes with a godawful night at the plate...

And, not for nothing... Delgado comes up with Church on 3rd and nobody out... I turn to my brother and say "I call a popout by Delgado"... Literally 3 seconds later and, well, y'all saw it...

THE UGLY

Any and all attempts by the Washington Nationals to play defense last night!!!

Good one, ding dong! Love the hangdog image, as well, lol.

Apparently, the Washington Nationals can't play defense on ANY night, because, well, in the games we've played against them thus far this year, the defense always looks the same - a cross between mundane, awful, and truly awful.

Santana sure is solid, and he can even hit a little. Should we give him a first baseman's mitt?

ESPN must stand for Extremely Stupid Peoples' Network... lol.

Yup, they definitely need to look at Johan and see if he can play 1st base for us!!!

Last night their defense wasn't really THAT bad, but we definitely got the benefit of a few cheap hits, and the ole' saying that "Speed Kills" was never more evident than last night...

Well, other than when Piazza used to catch for us against the Marlins...

A nasty blast from the not-too-distant past, huh? Yech...lol.

And here's my favorite quote about Johan: Tom who? lol

Awww... Poor Tommy!!!

Along those lines, Trevor Hoffman did a nice job to prevent Maddux from getting his 350th win last night...

I wouldn't be surprised if Maddux gets that one, and a lot more before he's all done, though.

The guy is like the ageless wonder. And he never gets hurt, does he? And I'll be damned if I can figure out how he gets guys out on a consistent basis, enough to win 349 games consistent!

Just updated the GBU, with a little something I thought you'd appreciate!

Yankenstein.... hehhehheh. You know, he has won me over in some respects, and I have been an advocate for him to be a manager *somewhere* again (Fred & Jeff), but I just don't really like him on the small screen. He still looks uncomfy and exhibits the weird facial anomalies/gestures that earned him the Yankenstein nickname to begin with, lol.

But talk about bad to worse... HAROLD REYNOLDS???????

DINGOMETS said...

I still don't like him, and I don't think I'd want him as manager of the Mets....

Harold Reynolds??? Meh... I'll give him a shot, and it's only for some of the games, right?

OK - who exactly is Yankenstein?

Deb said...

I'll give you three guesses, and the first two don't count. Here's a hint - he's the only SNY analyst who was both a Met and a Yankee, and who was once a matinee idol of the New York Mets fans.

Has the light now gone off, dear Coopie?

ding ding ding! we have a winner. LOL And he's dumber than Wills - I wouldn't have him manage the McDonald's down the street from me let alone a professional baseball team

Coop, you ignorant slut (lol)... I DISAGREE! hee hee hee lol

hahahahahahaha HA!
