This was a good one, by far the best "The Bad" part yet. Seriously, what does Delgado have to do in order to get bumped from the lineup, sat or better yet moved down at the very least. We all know as long as Beltran is not protected in the lineup, he aint gonna do jack. I wonder if Willie will defend his "guy" for muffing that play in the field yesterday - you know he'd bench Pagan, Jose or anyone else worthwhile because he didn't like their hustle.
Coop, I heard a postgame comment from Willie yesterday, and he did not look happy; apparently, he's a little pissed, too, if that makes you feel better, lol!
I find that I'm pretty much tuning out Willie these days, though. He tends to run the gamut from defending "his guys" to semi-throwing "his guys" under the fan bus.... in my book, he's not behaving like any true leaders I've ever seen.
I don't know, ding dong..... I just don't want Castillo batting second at this point, considering how poorly the team has performed with him in the 2 hole. The numbers are off the charts in favor of Church or ABC (anyone but Castillo) in the 2 hole... lol.
I agree, Gary. M&MD were just talking about what a huge problem Delgado is creating for the Mets. It's hard to put a $16 million man on the bench. But they may have little choice soon. Let's hope he gets it going before long.

Ding Dong, I laughed my f'n ass off at this one! Good job, boyo! :)
I'm still f'n laughing, like a jerk, and everyone here is staring at me and snickering, lol.
LOL LOL LOL LOL
I figured you'd like that one!!!
All credit must go to Quiggles, from the Mets board, for this one though...
Make sure he comes over and sees it, then, ding dong...lol.
Workin' on it...

Now I'm pissed.

As you point out so well on your blog today!
I'm all for moving Delgado down to 7th in the lineup, especially once Moses is back, hopefully this weekend...
And, if this shit continues, it won't be long before I really start yelling for Mike Carp or Nick Evans to come up...
At least we can be pretty sure that they won't be "bored"...
I'm pretty sure Delgado will be moved down in the lineup by Willie once Alou comes back.
I've been yelling for weeks that Willie has to split up Los Dos Carlos. They're like one gigantic clog in the drainpipe that is the Mets' lineup!
When Moses comes back, I'd go with:
Reyes
Castillo
Wright
Beltran
Moses
Church
Delsucko
Schneider
Pitcher
Dingo, any reason you'd stay with Castillo second instead of pushing Church back up there?
Yeah, if I put Church 2nd, then the furthest I can move Delgado is down to 6th... Because I wouldn't have Castillo or Schneider there...

Okay, then option 2:
Reyes
Church
Wright
Beltran
Alou
Delgado
Schneider
Castillo
Pitcher
That works too...
I might put Schneider even in front of Delgado... that's how bad I think the Delgado situation has gotten!
Carlos Delgado can start prepping for his role as the new Julio Franco and take over the boat anchor position on the bench.
Ding Dong, a great GBU post. Wunnderful.

Thanks Gary...
Nothing like mixing the GBU with the BPP...
